Nestled in Yelm City Park, the Splash Pad has quickly emerged as the community's premier family attraction. The splash park design includes a diverse array of spray features including ground jets, themed sprayers, and interactive water toys, offering children an exhilarating escape from the summer heat. Water Odyssey’s Fun Forms™, such as the Billy Box Turtle, Lazy Lizard, Lindsey Ladybug, Beatrice Butterfly, and a custom Eagle water play structure create a nature-themed interactive spray park that transports patrons to a world of imaginative aquatic play.
Enhancements to the Yelm City Park have transformed it into a central hub of activity and leisure for the community. Alongside the water play park, children can play in a modern playground. Meanwhile, teenagers have a dedicated skate park to show off their skills and creativity. For the adults, the park now hosts a bustling Farmer’s Market, providing a space to shop for fresh, local produce and goods.
A significant portion of the funding for the splash pad came from the Community Development Block Grant, showcasing the community's collective vision and commitment to recreational spaces. Complementing the splash pad, numerous picnic tables dot the surrounding area, providing an ideal place for families to relax and enjoy their meals, all the while watching over their children as they play.
